Preciso opens up the programmatic market to SME ecommerce vendors with the full launch of its plug-and-play targeted ad service
Bid-smart DSP Preciso today announces the full-scale launch of its integration with multinational ecommerce platform Shopify. Preciso becomes the first real-time bidding system to offer targeted display advertising campaigns specifically to small- and medium-sized merchants, through a user-friendly, plug-and-play interface.
Founded in Canada in 2006 and known for its massive global reach and ease of use, Shopify has grown to become one of the world’s most successful commerce platforms. More than 1.7m merchants used Shopify as of 2021, and its growth in the pandemic catapulted the service to the forefront of its sector.
With the mainstream launch of its Shopify integration, which follows a year of testing via a soft roll-out, Preciso continues to break down barriers for smaller ecommerce vendors without in-house IT or technology teams.
While the platform’s own Shopify Plus tier offers a wide range of marketing plugins and apps for enterprise-level businesses, Preciso’s app is available to all Shopify users, putting big-brand advertising capability in the hands of smaller merchants at a fraction of the cost. Advertisers pay no fixed monthly fees and are guaranteed high-quality traffic via Preciso’s AI-assisted, bid-smart targeting technology.
Larraine Criss, COO at Preciso explains: “Our integration with Shopify is helping SMEs not only to reduce manual processes and budget waste through our disruptive programmatic ad buying, it is also opening the doors to premium advertising for all advertisers – democratising access to high-quality, qualified traffic at wholesale prices for merchants without the deep pockets of household names.”
Piero Pavone, CEO at Preciso – whose passion for programmatic technology led him to establish Preciso’s innovative bidding platform, to offer practical media buying which would minimise budget waste – adds: “We are the only company of our type with an integration like this – one which can open up new audiences and immediate insights with merchants able to create banners dynamically. What’s more, it’s relevant to ecommerce vendors of all types, from fashion to electronics.”
Determined to see that all advertisers should benefit from programmatic advertising, the Preciso team remains on a mission to open the market to smaller brands. In addition to its Shopify app, Preciso also integrates with ecommerce platforms including Magento, WooCommerce and BigCommerce.
