Creative marketing refers to the process of using words and images to persuade, attract, influence, and persuade others in your market. In basic definition, a creative marketing specialist is a writer. hold workshops, talk in conferences, consult with various companies, businesses, and other individuals on their individual brand’s or company’s creative marketing plan, hold seminars, write articles, and give presentations.
However, although I am not a “creative marketer,” am not a writer, I still use some of the same techniques to market my business online. I have written articles on the benefits of social networking for example, I have spoken at marketing events and used the power of video to explain the benefits of social media marketing, I’ve held training workshops on online marketing and created some of my own websites, blogs, and social media accounts.
The best tool I have to use in marketing is word of mouth. People like to be told what a great product or service, they can purchase from you through word of mouth. It’s the reason so many consumers prefer to spend their money on “personalized” items over generic products or services. And it’s also the reason that my business thrives online.
With the use of social networking tools like Facebook and Twitter, I can share my products or services with potential clients and customers. I can even create my own Facebook page and allow my friends to join.
For example, I have hundreds of fans on Facebook. Through the use of Facebook’s “Like” button I can share information on a specific campaign, such as new product or promotional offers that I’m offering or upcoming conferences and presentations I’ll be attending, which I can post a link to my fans.
With Facebook I also has a profile that allows visitors to comment or share their thoughts and opinions about my brand and the products and services I offer. I can invite these comments on my page, use the comments section to create a forum or place them in my blog, or website, or use them to promote a campaign.
Another great way to promote my campaign’s online is to send out press releases. I can use these to email my fans, send out newsletters, publish in forums, distribute on my website, or even use to promote my Facebook page.
Finally, a press release is another great way to reach out and to get the word out. You don’t have to write a press release yourself. There are some fantastic companies online that are ready to write your press release for you for a small fee. Many of them are happy to send a copy to your readers and you can take a look and edit before publishing your press release.
Once your press release is ready to go, you can send it to newspapers, magazines, online news outlets, radio stations, or even use it to promote your business through your social network. My company, Pivotal Tracker, publishes press releases and I encourage anyone who is interested to submit one.
Web Designers are also a great resource for creative marketing. Most freelance sites that specialize in web design will let you advertise your services for free, or with a small fee.
I often find that web design jobs are very lucrative, especially if you can make it sound professional. This is because many people will see your design as a reflection of you and your business, and the quality of your service or product. They’ll become more than just a fan or client.
Search engine optimization is an art and an industry, just like all other industries. However, it is also an industry that is in constant development and constantly evolving and becoming more advanced, so you can be sure that you will never run out of opportunities to promote your web design work.
